The Sea Mills Public Consultation has Launched!

by Esther Hall

Our first public consultation launched in September and we were pleased to see so many local people interested to learn more about our initial proposed plans for the old Matrix site off the Crescent in Sea Mills, as well as to learn more about how to get involved with Tiny House Community Bristol. A survey was available to be completed both at the event and online and overall, we saw about 60 people attend the first of 4 consultation events taking place before the end of the year.

This project is aiming to be Bristol’s first regenerative settlement; to help people access high quality, affordable, deeply sustainable new small homes that meet their needs within an intentional community. We want to consult with neighbours, local residents, the wider community and other stakeholders to help influence our emerging designs at each stage of the process.

At the launch last month, we asked for the public’s ideas and feedback to help inform our planning going ahead and we look forward to sharing the results of our initial survey and consultation at our second public consultation event on Saturday 15 October, 2 - 4pm at the Sea Mills Methodist Church. The venue is accessible and all are welcome to join us. We hope to see you there!
